For one, his method only works if you're running Gnome.  Does Gnome tell 
you the time the temp was last updated?  Does it let you give a zip code 
as an argument, then display the temp for that zip code?  What does it use 
for a source of temp data?

I like my script approach for my uses anyway.  But I am having a problem 
with the degree symbol (°) -- it works great on my solaris box, but when I 
use the script on Linux or Cygwin I'm not seeing the proper symbol. 
Probably a locale or termcap issue.
