[MLUG] local computers for kids?

Going back to my original post, I've spoken (email) to both the guy from
Komputers4Kids and someone from the city. Whether there's something I can do
to help out the city program, or have to wing one on my own, I still like
this idea and am pursuing it.

I do agree that there needs to be some basic instruction on how to "use" the
computer, but am currently looking at possibly utilizing gOS and an internal
squid/Dansguardian setup for basic content filtering. I'm pretty impressed
with gOS as a very straightforward and intuitive frontend, and if I can
convince either the city or one of the local ISPs to subsidize internet
access, I think most of these objections would be resolved.
