Microsoft will not change their EOL on XP past 2009. It would be
corporate suicide to do that.
They don't make any money on what most people consider support
(patches) so supporting
an operating system they are not generating any revenue from doesn't
make any finical sense
for them to do it.  XP SP3 will be the swan song for XP like SP4 was
the end of the line for W2K.
