I'm sure the Michigan ballot will look similar to other states. And the
results will be reported the same as well.The difference is "winning
Michigan" technically means nothing towards getting you nominated as the
Democratic presidential candidate.No delegate from Michigan will be allowed
to speak or vote at the DNC is my understanding. But the vote totals
reported in the media will probably still bolster or cower campaigns all the
same. So it is unlikely any front running candidate will campaign Michigan
until the nominee is decided and the campaigns switch to a focus towards the
general election.

The national parties all made it clear to the state parties what would
happen. Some states just decided the press was worth it.  Not to mention
primaries are basically no different than electing the president of the
chess club. Each party and each state can set some pretty twisted rules to
assigning delegates.
