The thing is, McCain had about 2.5 times the number of delegates of
Romney. Romney had less than 50% more delegates than Huckabee. Romney
leaves in second place. Only McCain and Huckabee remain. Some are saying
that Huckabee is carrying on because he wants the VP spot.

It could turn out that Stephen will get his way and it will be a
McCain/Huckabee ticket, but we shall see. Some say that Huckabee won't
help very much because he is most popular in states that McCain will win
without him. Such people say that McCain should choose someone from the
upper midwest. One such possible choice would be Minnesota's governor,
Tim Pawlenty. I think Pawlenty is not good, and it *is* partly his fault
that the bridge collapsed (if you think otherwise, believe me, you've been
fooled), but the NTSB final report won't come out until after the
election. We're having the primary here in St. Paul. Pawlenty is
co-chairing McCain's election campaign.

That is, I think a McCain/Pawlenty ticket is pretty likely. I don't think
they'd win Minnesota though, especially not against Clinton/Obama (if that
comes to be). Pawlenty is not so popular these days.

Mike
