In research I looked into before, I would not recommend it, but others here will certainly have strong opinions about this and I am not going to get into it much more than this.
There is nothing about what you mentioned here that would rule out MySQL, you might want to look at the number of records in those tables and the space each table needs.
I doubt you would have a problem if you are using Linux.
The real answer I guess is that you would just need to load it up and see how it performs.
