I do a lot of 3D work and run Mental-Ray stand-alone on Linux (sometimes
IRIX). My primary app is 3ds Max, I also use Maya and sometimes play with
Blender. I use Linux for a wide range of stuff Gentoo, Ubuntu, & CentOS
depending on the application.
Just curious if others do any 3D work locally on Linux and what you do it
for. I do it professionally and have a very broad range of experience.
Curious if there are any local 3D / Animation groups around town too.
