I mail ordered my USB - serial adapter (laptop doesn't have a serial port). I wasn't in a big hurry, so I didn't spend much time looking locally, but have you tried Personalized or PC Avenue yet?

Even Radio Shack is cheaper, but they don't stock the serial adapter.
