This new "Zonbu" thing is a really interesting use for Linux (Gentoo, in
fact). I'm very surprised that "everyone" has been talking about it but I
hadn't heard of it today. Here are a bunch of articles (possibly a biased
sample because they were selected by the Zonbu people):

Interestingly, they haven't been talking about Zonbu much at Mizzou:

They seem to have some clever ideas and I can imagine this going
somewhere. I like the idea of a low-energy laptop with flash drive and
wifi allowing most data to be stored remotely.
Some people think I'm crazy, but I think a central server with many thin
clients connecting to it is a great way to go. It solves a lot of
problems, especially for certain kinds of working teams. Once we have
some kind of always-available-no-matter-where-you-are wireless network
system, everyone will get what I'm talking about.
