6.06 is based on Debian stable, while 7.10 is based on Debian testing (I
think, maybe it's unstable, can't ever keep 'em straight). Anyway, in a
server environment, especially for business purposes, unless you really
need bleeding edge features, you're always better off going with the
more stable/longest support option. Because laziness is a virtue. Who
wants to upgrade their server's OS every year?
I've been using 6.06 server for a while now, pretty much right after it
came out. It's a solid offering.
