This link leads to an exhaustive article on network booting with Linux. My earlier submission referred to BOOTP (ancient technology) when DHCP is the correct current technology for a client to obtain booting information, and I think I omitted that a TFTP server is typically required for PXE booting (one is provided by Quantian and apparently KNOPPIX, as well).
To turn on this feature, go to: Knoppix > Services > Start Knoppix Terminal Server. This will install DHCP, TFTP, and NFS servers for you and configure them
