sense. They should make it clearer on their web pages.
Before seeing your message, the closest I had come to what sounded like a
definite answer was this:

The second way to install is using TASKEL. a TASKEL is a software
application tool that groups some packages into tasks and allows the
user to install the packages from the task.. u can install it from the
terminal by typing.
sudo taskel install lamp-server
I wonder what the differences are in the two approaches. If both methods
end up at the same place, the taskel approach might be quicker because
there will be less to download. Your recommendation sounds sure to work
though.
What I'd really like is to be able to do it all from the installation CDs.
Example: Do the server installation with LAMP from CD, then do the desktop
installation from CD on top of that, but that might not work.
