I'm strictly an anal-retentive single-tasker as far as important and/ or work things go. I might listen to music, but I never leave videos up. Exposé makes switching between tasks easier, almost instantaneous really. It's not a panacea or anything, but it definitely works for me on my tiny laptop!

The Mac OS X version of Exposé has completely negated my need for virtual desktops or multiple monitors (unless I'm coding a big project). It makes using a 1024x768 screen usable!

It is good, but I still find value in more screen real estate because you can do things like run a video on the left monitor while you type notes about that video on the right monitor. I guess Exposé would help a lot but your fonts can get pretty small.
