I'm running 64 bit Fedora Core 6 on dual quad-core Xeons. Works fine. Run a mix of 64 bit and 32 bit virtual machines on it thanks to VMWare.

The only real issue I've had with it is that VMWare is 32 bit software and requires a few 32 bit libs you have to make sure are installed. Unless you need to run 64 bit though I'd probbaly suggest sticking to 32 bit for now as it just avoids minor issues and 64 bit doesn't really give a lot of benefit for normal usage. Setting up Flash would probably not be a big deal so long as your dependencies in your packages were right.

Sadly, VMWare is still a free but not open program and as such it isn't as well packaged. Unfortunately none of the open source virtualization platforms is as polished with the ability to run multiple unaltered operating systems and with a serious upgrade path (VM clustering, live backups, etc).
