Glad to hear we have new hardware. I work at the datacenter (nights)
and would be more then happy to help you install the machine or fill out
the paperwork.

hand-me-down hardware that should make a nice replacement for the
steam-powered rig that currently serves as the MLUG server. It's
nothing that will knock your socks off, but at least it won't swap
like crazy under near-idle load nor freeze up twice a week, as the
current box is prone to do. ;) Stay tuned.)
That is good. The MLUG server doesn't have a lot of disk space by
current standards: About 70GB with only about 7% free in the home
partition. I guess you are saying that you have more RAM too, which
also would be good if you are having disk thrashing problems.
