[MLUG] Looks like we're back now!

Hey folks,

It appears that the necessary firewall exceptions are in place now and 
mlug is again accessible from off campus. (I guess it's been down for 
just over a month now, which I think leaves us on track for "one nines" 
availability for the year.  ;)) Sorry for the extended downtime, folks 
-- in theory all we needed to do was to register the machine with NARS, 
as was suggested in a previous thread here, but in practice we ran into 
various hurdles -- and had other higher-priority chores to take care of 
-- that prevented us from getting this done until sometime last week. 
Thanks, everyone, for your patience.

(If it's any consolation, we just got our hands on some new hand-me-down 
hardware that should make a nice replacement for the steam-powered rig 
that currently serves as the MLUG server. It's nothing that will knock 
your socks off, but at least it won't swap like crazy under near-idle 
load nor freeze up twice a week, as the current box is prone to do.  ;)
