FYI, here's a list of routers that will run the Open source DD-WRT
embedded Linux firmware:

The Buffalo WHR-G54S is the cheapest option (~$50), but NewEgg doesn't
have it in stock.

I mention it because it would be cool if you could keep your solution
all-Linux. And you'd have a lot more options, for the same price you'd
pay for just the bridge hardware.
