That's a generous offer, but you should probably keep your kindness closer to home. For that matter, I am trying to clear all the B devices off the home wireless network because they do seem to degrade wireless performance.

Meanwhile:

Yeah, right, the one we have is firewalled 7 days from sunday and loops back
through our state connection, so we can't get out of our network and HAVE to
access it with VPN; a fat lot of help that is to test with.  At least we
kiddies won't worry about getting out of the playground, but we can get out
of the sandbox now...

It was not until I got the current job that I was really aware of the "joys" of VPN. I am pretty sure that in our environment it does save a lot of potential grief, but every once in a while it becomes an enormous PITA. Fortunately, I don't have to test anything, and if I complain about something going wrong, our people have to get it fixed (and they are a very good bunch of IT people, by the way).
