I have no interest in that, but here is a related question: If the Dells
ship with Ubuntu, and Ubuntu is running great, all devices working, would
that imply that other Linux distros would work with the same drivers?
If not, how hard would it be to use bits of another distro to get the
desired look and feel of that distro?
I'm thinking the kernels are interchangable between distros if they aren't
identical. Also, if the kernels differ at all (due to recompiling for
device compatibility or whatever), the source should be available to you.
So how much will this Ubuntu/Dell collaboration help other Linux distros?
