I had not heard of beryl before today. I just tried it out and it
really does look rather fun. I doubt that it really stretches the
limits of GL, but I could only try it out on my system with the nvidia
7600GT, because that is the only computer I have that has Linux on it.
Beryl doesn't seem to be quite ready for FreeBSD yet - my guess is that
in a few short weeks I will simply be able to type "cd
/usr/ports/x11-wm/beryl && make install clean" because I can see that on
developers web pages. I could also install it from scratch, but that
looks like a lot of work, so I am happy to wait.
