RE: [MLUG] Dell Open-Source Notebooks

I thought I would put my two cents in here on the trackpad issue.  I
have installed (open)SUSE on several different laptops in the past and
the best drive I found for the touchypad was the 2 button mouse on
auxport.  Finally got the wireless and network working on the laptop I
ws asking about last week (I guess it pays to use the latest
versions...) and have been having good luck with it.  I am going to give
it the mom test and let her try to trash it.  It appears to be an easy
to use OS and hope she can grow to like it as her pc's keep eating
outlook and outlook express.  Overall, it seems pretty stable even
though the laptop is over 3 years old; now if I could just get Lisa to
let me have her WoW and EQ laptop to play with for a while....
