I tried to install this...
http://search.cpan.org/~KWITKNR/Spreadsheet-ParseExcel-0.2602/ParseExcel.pm
...using this command...
perl -MCPAN -e 'install Spreadsheet::ParseExcel'
...but it was taking forever and seemed to be trying to install perl
v5.8.8 (or something close to that number). I have perl v5.6.0 installed.
Is this because Spreadsheet::ParseExcel requires something newer than
v5.6.0, or did I just use the wrong command? I was guessing that it was
due to dependencies.
Anyway, this was being done on my Solaris box and, as often happens, after
hours of waiting, "make test" failed and it didn't install the new perl,
so I never got my Spreadsheet::ParseExcel which means that I don't have
antixls working (which was my goal). This is antixls:
