I have looked and couldn't find any info on the backporting of
security patches in debian . Do you have any more information about
that feature?
That's how it was when I ran Debian stable several years ago. Old
versions with backported security fixes.
I can't find information about it now, because there is a
"backports.org" project which obscured Google results. But I do
remember, when there was any high-profile vulnerability disclosure, a
new package would get installed on my computer. (I set it to
auto-update).
