Most mobo's (within the last couple years) do support usb boot.
Typically the ones that don't support it are the more generic models in
which the manufacturer was trying to cut costs and corners.
All but one of my computers at home support it except for a cheap Asus
mobo with a striped down Phoenix bios. Coincidentally, that same mobo
has terrible Linux support (no on board nic support, no onboard SATA
support, bios doesn't support Adaptec SCSI, etc).

So what's going on in the mobo world? Are manufacturers adding this
feature on all new mobos? I think it's a great idea to allow that.
Once
it is widespread I can imagine myself making better use of it.
