Songbird (http://www.songbirdnest.com/) looks promising. It's built on the Mozilla platform. One of my non-technical friends downloaded it and likes it, but it's still a bit buggy. Maybe worth checking out.

Subject: [MLUG] iTunes replacement?

I'm using iTunes on my Windows PC because it is there and other people
seem to use it. iTunes displays all of the MP3 files on my system in one
gigantic list, which is a very cool idea, but it somehow manages not to
find every file and I find it hard to sort things the way I want them
sorted. Also, I much prefer to use FOSS software whenever possible, not
for ideological reasons but because my experiences have been much better
with such software.

So is there a good FOSS replacement for iTunes? I think Windows Media
Player can do some of the same things as iTunes, but I also want to avoid
Microsoft products (too many bad experiences!).

Mike
