And now you know exactly why the stupid electronic doorbell that the
idiots that previously remuddled our house installed hasn't "worked" in
about two years.  This is left over from the 2004 election canvassing.
Gus was an incredibly light sleeper and all the noise from downstairs
was magically funnelled into his room due to the odd acoustics and
hardwood floors of our old house. 

BTW, removing the battery from the cordless bell or a pair of wire snips
will work wonders on your doorbell situation.

I doubt any politician will get the point, but if it made you feel
better, I think that'll work.  Honestly, I almost voted for dubya
because I was so pissed off about the Democratic vote canvassing that
kept waking up our son.   WTF is it about vote canvassing that they
*have* do do it during naptime?
