BTW, thought I'd update the price.  I'll go down to $500, but that's as low as I'll go on this laptop.  Particularly considering the upgrades and software with it.
Thanks!

Okay. I have the 15", but a friend of mine has been looking to get a Powerbook so I'll ask her about it. Thanks for the links.

It definitely is - though there are some caviats:

Daystar is a company doing upgrades for a price, that I personally
couldn't justify:
http://daystar-store.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=638
but, it IS doable, after a fashion.  The reasons for this are that
the CPU's in the Powerbooks are difficult to get to, to remove, etc.
(the macbooks apparently have the CPU soldered onto the board, so
near impossible for those)  A good site for instructions (the site
I'm planning on using to remount the DVD drive and stuff) is here:
http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/

They don't have a guide for the CPU, but they do tell you how to take
apart the whole laptop.
