I bet that somebody from Microsoft offered an administrator a "better
deal" on the rest of their MSFT software if the Linux computers went
away. They don't want anybody cut in on "their" business, you know.
Soda companies do the same thing with colleges/universities. We are a
Coca Cola campus up here -- no Pepsi machines. In exchange for granting
exclusive rights to Coca Cola to sell their products on our campus, I'm
sure the university is getting something, and not just cheaper sodas.
