Eh, I finally figured it out.  vmxloader was integrated into the hmvloader.  However, got all of this working, to discover dell shipped with the 840D cpu's, not the 9XX series.  THUS, no VT support!!  I don't understand this, since the 9XX series run about $100 cheaper... *sigh*  Oh well.

The biggest problem I see is on gentoo, the file 

/usr/lib/xen/boot/vmxloader

doesn't exist.  NOW, I'm not sure if I was just missing some libraries when xen was built?  Or, if the hvmloader is what's supposed to be used?  I'm at a loss, as I don't see a configure file in the xen source where I could say "load VT extensions" or anything similar. 

Suggestions?
