You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, and the playing-to-the-laziness
is the honey. The DMCA et. al is the vinegar, and they have yet to invoke
that against Sun and the OpenOffice.org team, but I bet they might if they
see their new "open XML" formats reverse-engineered.
I don't know if I'd even bother to reverse engineer new Office formats.
IMO it's a waste of effort. Better to keep improving OpenOffice and the
ODF formats instead.
