Call dell and all that. I get random crashes in windows, with the dump file mentioning things like page faults. The linux kernel fails whenever I try and boot the 64 bit version of Gentoo. If I take that same CD to another GX620, it works fine. SO, I'm guessing a hardware issue of some sort on this machine. The odd thing is the x86 version of gentoo boots fine. SO, I'm also guessing it's something with the 64 bit extensions on the processor.... Of course, the cd sometimes throws errors, i.e. the init scripts will fail or other odd things will happen... *SIGH* ok, time to find the dell numbers to call them. Oh, the last odd thing, all the hardware diagnostics show it's a good system...
