I'm in touch with reality. They are just buying some time, like a dying
person. We all die eventually! They tried to stop player piano rolls,
VCRs, cassette tapes, CD-R, P2P, etc. They fail in the end, but they
profit more than enough through the delay to pay the attorneys and have
something left over.
I predict a big improvement in the quality of popular music. It isn't too
bad right now -- better than 20 years ago -- but probably not as good as
30 years ago. There is a lot of talent out there and I think the next
decade is going to see a resurgence of creative new music.
