Apparently there is a big push by Microsoft to get their e-mail system to 
replace campus e-mail, as seen here:

I looked up some information on others using/testing the service since the 
official website for Windows EMAIL:PROTECTED made no mention of any of its 
capabilites. And sure enough, like most free Web-based e-mail, the testers 
said there's no POP/IMAP/SMTP access.
