I once heard that people who studied crashed UFO's were amazed that the 
waste products were all recycled back into the system to make the 
systems really efficient. I dunno about UFO's but that IMO is the sign 
of a mature technology. It's so well made that it's own waste products 
are reused. For portable devices where power is a serious issue I think 
this is the kind of thing that will really make a product a hit. 10% 
extra battery life on your cell, laptop, or iPod could make a big 
difference.

Most techies do look down their noses at people in the backwoods. To bad 
they aren't enlightened enough to help improve the quality of life for 
people in the boonies or third world countries. I get to sound like a 
nut for continually advocating concern for strangers and efforts to help 
them.
