But anyway, Mike obviously doesn't know the One True Way of picking
technology, which is to go by the "rules" / "sucks" ratio. So the
*real* data are these:
"aix rules" / "aix sucks" = 414 / 111
"solaris rules" / "solaris sucks" = 1860 / 606
"mac os x rules" / "mac os x sucks" = 772 / 279
"irix rules" / "irix sucks" = 83 / 109
"linux rules" / "linux sucks" = 55,600 / 88,600
"windows rules" / "windows sucks" = 17,700 / 79,800
"mac os rules" / "mac os sucks" = 226 / 3450

The percentage winner of that one is, of course, VMS. :-)
Good stuff. I guess Linux "rocks" more than it "rules."
I would also suggest that no one cares about VMS anymore, so I don't think
they are getting a lot of new hits on that one. I would also say that VMS
might be the best thing in the world, but where's the software for it?
With Linux we get everything we need with ease. That's why Linux beats
VMS, and while it might be the only reason why it beats it, it's a very
important reason.
