i really liked the manual aspect of gentoo, though. i'm a little sad
to see it fall victim to gui install fever.

right now, i'm building a linux from scratch system. i'm working on a
very small, via mainboard focused router/firewall install. thought i'd
give lfs a try. i am a glutton for linux punishment.
