You can disable the tty check like this:
growisofs --use-the-force-luke=tty -Z /dev/dvd -J -R /var/ftp/files
but try the export thing first.
I am seriously going to bed now.
Me too. I am seriously stumped by this one. Do try the
use-th-force-luke option Mark suggested as well. My theories
are simply not panning out.
