Openbox: http://icculus.org/openbox/ The Gnome WM (I think it's
metacity) is good too.
Fast and lightweight. When all else fails, I normally go with twm or
mwm. They're both old but they do the job.

So what do you all think?
Mike
I have been using fvwm95 as my X11 window manager for years. But I
have this sense that I am missing out on something. I have tried
KDE a few times - probably I didn't give it enough time, but mostly
it just felt too "heavyweight."
What window managers do you guys recommend?
I think that GNOME is simply the framework for a window manager -
not the wm itself. Am I correct, and if so, which wm's go best
with GNOME?
