i prefer gnome over kde because kde is too animated and bubbly. that
is what i hate about the windows gui. i want a usable, functional
environment. i don't need worthless fluff. i know you can disable that
stuff, but i don't it at all and most of it is on by default.

i usually run fluxbox due to my hatred of candy guis. but, gnome can
be simplified so much that i don't mind using it. i blame ubuntu for
my gnome preference.

i guess i'm the odd guy out who doesn't want a ms windows style environment.
