ADSL competes with cable modem though, right? In most locales, I would
guess that there is one ADSL provider and one cable provider, but there
would still be competition between them and that should keep prices down.
Please correct me if I'm mistaken about how that works.
I also hear that internet service can be provided over electrical wiring,
but maybe that isn't available yet. If it becomes available, it will
probably have a profound effect on pricing.
