The QNX people have been very low-key players over the years, very much in
the background. They work directly with hardware designers rather than
users - that's the nature of your business when your bread and butter is to
supply an OS for say, a CAT scan machine rather than a PC.
It will be interesting to see if Linux RTOS distros can catch up, or if QNX
can manage to stay ahead thru innovation. I won't place any bets either
way, myself.
