My wife had to get her gall bladder out 6 weeks after our son was born.
I have to say I got an experience that not many dad's get, exclusive
care of a very young child.  It was an absolutely eye opening experience
and, while it was difficult, it was absolutely rewarding.  It also gave
me a real appreciation for what my wife did on a day in-day out basis.
