Well, apparently the site has been /.ed cause I can't get in.

Reload it a few times - eventually you'll get in.

Question....  The holdup on the G5 PowerBooks has been the molten lava processor problem and the rather large form-factor of the chip.... They were rumored to have fixed those problems and to be planning on releasing the first G5s mid June (They had to wait until Tiger was available to accommodate the 64bit architecture)

Actually, they released Panther on the G5's a long time ago - Tiger just enabled a lot of 64 bit extensions.  I'm not sure it's a true 64-bit operating system as of yet, as I know a lot of libraries are still 32-bit in nature.  SO, no clue if they'll have powerbooks running on G5's or not...

So....  Might this be the solution to the G5 problem?  Is this going to put them off even longer?  Are they going to surprise us with new machines?

Who knows?  I'd like to know myself :)  If you hear anything, let me know!  I'll be checking myself to see what I can find, but we should keep the list updated with news on this :)  I'm going to look and see what it takes to get a version for Intel, test it out.

Here's one thing that's going around right now.  Apple has used OpenBoot or whatever it's called for a long, long time.  As such, an intel box with OpenBoot replacing the BIOS system?  That'd be interesting....

Personally, I'd like to have a dual boot....  VirtualPC 7 is crap since Micro$oft bought it.
