It depends on what partition boot is on. hd0,0 is first disk (primary
master), first partition. hd0,1 would be fist disk, second partition.
Looks like it is not finding vmlinuz. I run mandrake and it has a sym
link from vmlinuz to the kernel. I guess RH does not d this. If you
know the file name of your kernel (and initrd.img for the second
command) then use that name. If you do not have them then you can get
it by booting from a live cd and finding your /boot dir and looking at
grub.lst.
BTW the reason the resue mode is not seeing your hd is because it is not
mounting them. You can mount them manually but I think you have to do
it the hard way by entering in all of the fstab settings.
Good luck.

Ok, I can see how it works. Actually, /boot has its own partition, so I guess
I need to type (hd0,1) for /dev/hda2. /dev/hda2 is RAID (type fd), like all
others.
kernel (hd0,0) /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda1
Error 1: Filename must either be an absolute pathname or blocklist

Tab completion does not seem to work. I tried several variations. Of course,
(hd0,1), but also /vmlinuz instead of /boot/vmlinuz.
Thanks for any further help.
