This is on a home server. Yes it does have an outside connection but the upload speed is slow (32K). Besides I like to have 100% control over my backups.
As for the tape or cdr. As some of you know I am just a DataCenter Tech. I do not have much extra money to blow. I did have an old zip drive and disks doing nothing so I thought I would put them to use. I know the down falls of the zip disk but when you do not have the money you use what you have.
Any other ideas on a FIX for the problem????

Might be fun to tinker with...

Otherwise, look at CDR, a cheap USB key, or an old tape drive to hand
this task. I'd go with CDR.
