If it's a server and has a connection to the outside world, why not
write a script to targz it and then sendmail it to a gmail account.
Ya've got two gig backed up.
I've always been of the opinion that a zip backup is no backup at all.
George has always reinforced this for me. A lot!

Let me start off by saying that I am not a noob but far from knowing
exactly what I am doing. I am running Mandrake 10.1 and have an old
atapi zip 100 installed on hdc. The system is running sysfs and udev.
Whenever I boot the system it does not create a device block in /dev
for the zip drive. I have tried with and without a disk in. If I run
diskdrake then it sees the drive and I can set a mount point, save,
and then mount the drive. I have an entry in fstab. If this was a
desktop machine then it would not be such a big deal (annoying yes)
but this is on a server machine. I am just wanting to use the drive
to setup an auto-backup script of my config files, scripts, and perl
automation programs that I write. I have googled till my head hurts.
From what I can tell sysfs is suppose to see the drive and pass the
info to udev to create the device block but this is not happening. I
see no info in /sys nor in the udev config for the drive. BTW it uses
the ide-floppy driver.
