Insert the 1st CD of mandrake, after booting choose repair. it brings up an option window with "restore (or repair or rewrite) partition table. It supposedly would rewrite the partition it sees on the hard disk. then you may get the mandrake rebooted (hopefully). 2. Sometimes checking hard drive for error (using BART PE or any other check disk tools) with option of repair may help. unfortunately the manbdrake partition table writer and partition magic partition table writer are not consistent with each other this was a painful experience for me, and at that time I didn't check the option 1) I just wrote. I hope that works Ali ________________________________ From: EMAIL:PROTECTED on behalf of Nowlin, Dan Sent: Sat 4/9/2005 7:25 AM To: Shawn Parker; MLUG Members Subject: RE: [MLUG] partition problems No I have not but after checking the webpage out this concerns me: Q: The Resize/Move dialog suck ! A: The new resize/move dialog is just an early implementation (consider it just a prototype)... that's all. > -----Original Message----- > From: EMAIL:PROTECTED > [mailto:EMAIL:PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Shawn Parker > Sent: Saturday, April 09, 2005 7:20 AM > To: MLUG Members > Subject: Re: [MLUG] partition problems > > have you tried using qparted? > > On Apr 9, 2005 7:08 AM, Nowlin, Dan <EMAIL:PROTECTED> wrote: > > > > OK GURU's I have a good problem here.
