If you want to step back to 2400 baud on VHF, 9600 on UHF. However, it
is getting better. Be prepared to pay several hundreds on a good packet
modem.
Mid-Missouri has some great amateur radio operators. We are also
building a packet backbone throughout the state, so excellent progress!
