The installfests I've been a part of have usually been scheduled for
about 5 hours.  This is negotiable, but it's good to leave extra time
in case some thing doesn't go perfectly :)  My guess on people is
about 10.  I'm sure we could get more if we advertised a little.  A
weekend might be preferable for that length of time.  Ubuntu and
Fedora seem like good first install distros, though if someone wants
to bring their own, then that would be fine.  We (ACM) currently have
no freebies/stickers.  Let me check to be sure, but I have a feeling
we could foot the bill for a stack of cds.

The LiveCD idea is superb, as well.  I like the idea of a "Power of
Linux" type display, and the LiveCDs would work nicely for that, I
think.  I'll bring these good suggestions to the ACM and get back to
you all to try to decide on a date and distribute the cd burning.
