Figured this might be of interest to some:

Some interesting notes though on the second page of the article on 3d graphics. It makes it painfully obvious how important code optimization can be - all the games that they showed performed poorly, until you get to Quake 3 Arena which had someone optimize it for the Mac platform - then it smoked the others. Which makes sense when you consider that it smoked the other systems in CPU benchmarks, so it's really all about optimizations. If something is truly optimized, it'll work better than a generic app for any given platform, regardless of how fast an alternative platform is.
